No Reads or LIkes One Day A Week
-
I know that this is going to sound very odd, however, I find it kind of amusing in a sad way. I do have a following of sorts, however, for the last two weeks, on Saturday, I get absolutely no visitors to my blog.
It definitely eschews the stats for the blog somewhat if one day a week there are no visitors, which I find hard to believe. I do have over one hundred folllows on the site and I can’t think that every Saturday I would get boycotted for some reason. Does anyone else have this problem?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

My traffic drops like a stone on both blogs every weekend and every long weekend in North America so I’m not sure what you report is odd or not.
Our stats are not real time stats. For details see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/ and note the views and viewers take hours to update. Also note that those who follow your blog in the Reader or by email don’t have to click into the blog to read posts unless they wish to.
Likes and shares and reblogs and follows are not page views. In fact, likes, shares and reblogs are completely misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can “follow” your blog, “like”, “share” and “reblog” your posts in several locations such as the Reader, without ever clicking into your blog and creating a single page view stat.
Visitors using a mobile can read the full post without creating a page view stat. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-reader-show-full-text?replies=31#post-1373606
You can control the length of the entry sent out on your RSS feed here > Settings > Reading. Choose the “summary” setting for your RSS feed rather than to “full text”. That will compel followers who are not using mobiles to click into the blog to read the full post which will create a page view stat.

Thank you for response, however, my views usually stay about the same and this issue has only happened the last two Saturdays. Just seems a tad bit odd to me at this point.
Since my blog is primarily a fantasy blog related to a particular game on-line, the heaviest times that I get visitors does seem to be on the weekend most often as not. Thanks again for your input.

re: input
lol :D For the record I answer support questions and we aren’t allowed to chat in support forum threads so what I post is not input. ;)If you want Staff to look at your stats you type modlook into tags in the sidebar of the thread, subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond, and practice patience while waiting for them to respond.

How many hits do you get on a typical day? If you get less than 50, I can absolutely see this happening. The easiest way to test if something is wrong in the stats is to sign out, clear browser cache and cookies, and go to your blog like a regular reader. Go away and come back repeatedly, enough that you’ll show up in the stats, and after an hour or so (stats are not in realtime) go to your stat page and see if it shows up.

Your stats seem fine and pretty consistent. As raincoaster suggests, your overall traffic isn’t particularly high, so some days you have lower or no traffic and others you do better. It looks like you do best on days when you publish a new blog post, which is normal.

We don’t want random people to post off-topic threads in the support forums, but it’s okay to chat within them as long as support is still happening. :)
