No receiving confirmation email

    Hi there,

    I am trying to change the administration email address for my wordpress site. WP say they will send a confirmation email to the new email address but never receive this confirmation email??

    I have checked the spam folders.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello @adminf219013122,

    I understand that you are feeling frustrated because you are not receiving the confirmation email from your WordPress website so that you can change the administration email address.

    A couple things to help with troubleshooting this issue:

    1 – Do you know if your website is on WordPress.com or whether you have it installed with a different website hosting platform? The way that outgoing emails from the website are handled is potentially different for WordPress.com websites vs. WordPress websites hosted on other platforms.

    2 – Can you try submitting a test email via one of the contact forms on the website and report back whether or not that test email is received?

    Once you report back on the two items above, I will hopefully be able to help you determine the next correct step to help you resolve this issue.

    Hi there @adminf219013122 It looks like your above site is hosted with Hetzner and because it isn’t hosted here on WordPress.com’s servers, we’re limited in what we can do to help.

    Have you reached out to your web hosting provider’s support? If they say this is an issue with the open source WordPress software itself, head over to the forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ for assistance.
