no reply button after 2nd comment

  if i respond to someone’s comment on my blog and they respond to that, I then no longer have the choice of replying to their comment as the “reply” button no longer appears. Why? is this a bug? is there a way to reply to their comment anyway?

  I’ve had to create a new comment which doesn’t actually directly reply to the question, meaning the commenter doesn’t receive my response.

  If you set up your Discussion Settings to use nested comments, you’ll have to adjust the number of levels. I believe the default is 3 levels.
