When I asked why my site had been deleted I was sent this message:
Hi @tr1shs, that site was owned and deleted by alwayscrashing. Are you able to log in as that user and request that we un-delete it for you?but I didn’t realise that the email I sent in reply was to (email visible only to moderators and staff) ! The original request for help was closed so I am no further forward!!
Here is what I answered:

Alwayscrashing was a young friend who helped me set up the site originally and with whom I seem now to completely lost touch.
As I mentioned, I’m in my seventies and don’t really understand internet stuff but once he’d got me started I was able to write and add my posts without his help over the years.
It was/is a site about disability issues, set up to try and give help, advice and encouragement to people like myself, with rheumatoid arthritis, and similar
health issues.No one has yet contacted me by email so I am concerned that this matter has just been let drop. Please can someone reassure me that this is not the case? I really want and need to retrieve this site, whatever it takes! Thanks.
I would really appreciate some help retrieving all my work if at all possible? I am surprised that he would have asked for it to be deleted as he was never unkind. For all I know he may not still be alive as he didn’t send me a card last Christmas and I was worried then.

I should have mentioned… my site is/was phyzzezee.wordpress.com and I was getting help on the forum post which was closed from Staff called supernova.

Do you have access to the account that owns the site. It’s alwayscrashing. The only way to have the site restored is if we are contacted from that particular account.

No, I have lost touch with my friend. All I can do is write to the last address I have for him. It could take time and I may never find him :( He may even not still be alive. This is very disappointing. I seem to have lost everything.

I am trying to get in touch with who you say is the site owner.
I would have thought that since I personally made all the posts on the site over several years that I might have had some ability to ask for the retrieval of all my work.

While I understand that you created the content, you did not own the site. The site was deleted by the owner, and can also only be restored at the owner’s request.
I’m checking with our team if there’s any way that we might still be able to help you recover the content you created on the site, but I can’t make any promises. I’ll let you know once I have more info.
