No Right Click HTML
-
An online acquaintance suggested that I add a “NO RIGHT CLICK” HTML option to my blog to keep anyone from unauthorized usage of my copyrighted photographs. They e-mailed me the HTML as an attachment.
Is it permissable to add such code to my WordPress blog?
Is it advisable?
How do I do it?
Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There was a time when the popular “NO RIGHT CLICK” html codes worked but merely as an annoyance rather than a sure thing. It was said that the HTML codes worked only on IE browsers. I don’t know if this has evolved much but if it’s still true then that’s no good. WordPress.com hosted blogs do not work well with IE and like many users, I’ve switched to FireFox.
You cannot stop people from downloading your pictures. Even if the HTML codes work, it cannot stop someone using a screen capture tool to save a copy. It’s just that easy. Imagine adding the script to every blog post :O .. you’re better off spending the time to watermark your pictures.

You can’t do it. That code uses javascript, and javascript is not allowed in wp.com blogs.
