No SETTINGS Button on WordPress Menu in Order to Change Directory Uploads

    I need the settings button according to all other wordpress forums to attend to the error message ‘Is its parent directory writable by the server?’ however the settings button is not actually in my wordpress menu under TOOLS like it should be, help!

    On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

    It sounds like you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, so please ask for help at https://wordpress.org/support/ instead, or contact support at your hosting provider.
