No Shortlink from Admin Bar

There used to be the option to easily see and copy the shortlink from the Admin bar on any page you were looking at. Now, that seems to be gone.
Yes, I can still go into my main dashboard and open each post separately to get the shortlink, but this is a big hassle and waste of my time.
Does anyone know why this option was removed? It would make a lot of sense for WordPress to add it back in.

Jesus Christ, just when someone thinks that the geniuses over at wordpress are over with the mindless removal of useful features, such as the classic post editor, they disappear something else!
Now it’s the shortlink at the admin bar.

In fact, I have never used it – not even once so it’sdidappearnce bothers me not.
What does peeve me right of is the removal of the Theme name from the Admin dropdown. It takes some experience for newbies to cotton to the fact that reducing page loading time is where it’s at. I answer many questions here every day and that Theme name link removal means I have to wait for every freaking blog to load and many beginners have such slow loading blogs that I could scream. As I’m on the low stress plan now my only way of dealing with this latest piss off is not to answer questions I probably could have answered if the link had been there.

Well, no word from staff in this thread but I do see that the shortlink option has been added back to the admin bar – thank goodness!
So, thanks to whoever fixed that :) its a pretty useful feature.
