no sidebar in PressRow, no widgets
-
Hi, I’m using PressRow, previously was using Hemingway. I would like a sidebar with my blog, to display either categories, or an rss feed, or both. But I cannot seem to find how to make this happen in PressRow. Surely there is a way to have a sidebar in this theme? I must be overlooking something and would love some advice. Many thanks! My blog is at luc8.

Pressrow does have a sidebar. It looks as if you changed the default and now need to rebuild one. Just go to presentation>widgets and drag and drop the components you would like. Don’t forget to save your changes.

hi, I definitely didn’t change the set-up, at least not intentionally, as I’m not confident to work with css (yet). I did what you said and dragged the widgets into the default sidebar, but there was no sidebar to begin with, and nothing happened after I dragged and saved. any suggestions?
thanks again for your help!

Pressrow does have a sidebar. You can see one here — it’s also, imo, a super example of that theme in action:

Sidebars are cached and it could take up to an hour for changes to appear. I don’t see it on your blog, though, and I checked every page and I was not seeing a cached version of those. Sometimes the sidebar gets pushed to the bottom when an image is too wide but that’s not your problem either. If it’s not there soon, try again. Otherwise, you’ll need to contact support tomorrow for some back end help.(It happens…)
BTW, no need to know CSS for changing your sidebar.
