no site, cannot add a new site

hi – how do I create a new site? Specifically, I am importing an exported site from squarespace. However, on my dash, I have no options to import, to upload, to upgrade, to create a new site. Pretty much locked-out of any meaningful feature.

how do I create a new site?
shallop.com uses WordPress.org software and is hosted by GoDaddy. Do you want to create a new site hosted on their servers? Or do you want to create and host a new site on WordPress.com?
If you are looking to create a new site on WordPress.com, you should be able to create a new site using this link or by going to My Sites > Switch Site > Add New Site (at the bottom). This documentation will guide you through the process of importing content from Squarespace:
The WordPress.org support forums will be the best place to post for help if you want to use WordPress.org software with another host (like GoDaddy):

shallop.com is registered @ goDaddy and points to squarespace.
My wordpress.com account (shallop.wordpress.com) is the domain I am working with. On wordpress.com.
I read the article about importing from squarespace – great! – except I don’t have/see the import option in my dashboard menu. I have minimal options none of which have anything to do with creating a site. When I select an option that involves a site, the drop down to select which site is blank. So I’d assume that even wordpress.com knows I don’t have a site. Yet creating a (first) one isn’t an available option.
I’m not farking around with wordpress.org or godaddy for this issue, thank you for eliminating those as possibilities.
