no sitemap found by google for website

the blog tanyavillanuevatepper.com is not showing up in google. there is a message in google saying robots.txt is preventing indexing. subsequently, i added the site to webmaster tools and attempted to submit a sitemap manually but no sitemap is being found. i tried to submit sitemap file at tanyavillanuevatepper.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml (as per wordpress.com instructions) and google returned a 404. please advise. thank you kindley

Your blog is currently set as Private, so no one (including Google) can access it.
You’ll need to go to Settings -> Reading in your blog’s Dashboard, select “Allow search engines to index this site,” and click “Save Changes” at the bottom.

i should mention that the site is showing up on bing. so it may be a specific problem with the way google is or is not interacting with wordpress.com.

Sorry about that, a small setting was stuck (for lack of a better word) in our system. Your sitemap is now fully functional. :)

Hi I can’t work out how to submit a sitemap, it’s saying on webmaster tools error am I entering it wrong perhaps?

Make sure that you’re submitting the proper sitemap URL: http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines
