No slider in splendio theme, whereas posts are marked as 'sticky'

  Hi,
  I started my blog a few months ago. Today I saw there is an option to have a post slider in it. I have updated my theme, but when I mark posts as sticky nothing happens in fact. Could you tell me why and what i should do to fix it? Thanks

  Featured slider
  To add posts to the slider (which is part of the Showcase page template), mark some posts as Sticky. If you’d like Featured Images to appear inside the slider with your posts, make sure they are at least 180 pixels wide.

  To use the Showcase template, create or edit a page, and assign it to the “Showcase” template from the Page Attributes module. If you’d like use the Showcase template on your front page, go to Settings → Reading and set the “Home Page” option to “Static Page”.   Featured images will appear above the post on the regular blog view and fill the maximum width of the content area.
