no stats

self hosted with jetpack plugin does not record stats, tried deactivating other plugins as suggested in one of the support threads but still no luck. any suggestions?

Your stats seem to be working just fine, you just hadn’t had any views until I checked just now.
Please note that when logged in, your own views will not be counted.

ah so it will not go back and capture historical data, ok i will wait until tomorrow and see what happens thanks for your reply. btw i am hosted by blue host and their analytics ie webanalyzer paints a different picture, are those analytics reliable?

Yes, stats cannot be transferred, so it’s only live data from the moment you install it.
Analytics are not an exact science, the biggest problem being bots (search bots, spam bots, spiders, etc). Every analytics service filters out bot traffic, but new bots are born every day, and we can’t filter a new bot until we see it ourselves, so each service could be filtering different bots, thus resulting in different data.

as you predicted the jetpack stats were their after one day and the info on the bots was very illuminating to me, thanks for taking time to answer my inquiry
