No stats on days when I know I had visitors

  I have days when I receive emails showing that people either liked my blog or began following my blog. Yet my stats will show no visitors that day (or the day before or the day after) when people either liked or began following my blog. This doesn’t make any sense to me and I think my stats are not showing some visitors or visits. In fact when I visit my blog from several different computers no visits or visitors show up in the stats. Can anyone explain this to me – and do the stats sometimes not work?

  Stats record people who go to your blog on the web, not people who read or Like it in the Reader.
