I have the basic WordPress account (Not Premium). My domain name http://www.catzseattle.com is registered with WordPress and I pay the yearly fee. I am redesigning my website and plan on moving it to another hosting service. I understand that I need to change the name servers and point them from WordPress to the new host, but I don’t see the option to do so in my dashboard. There is no “Store” in my dashboard, therefore I cannot navigate to “Domain Administration” to Change the DNS.

Also, under Tools: No “Export” option only “Press This.” Why am I not seeing these options? Is it because I don’t have the premium account? How do I go about changing the name servers to switch hosting services when I cannot access the “Store.” I have read all the support articles and know how to make the transfer, I just can’t access it in my dashboard. Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

The blog I need help with is catzseattle.com.

You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades for it.

If you’ve registered your domain through WordPress.com and now want it to point to a blog or website hosted elsewhere then you can do this by updating the nameservers.

Thanks! I got the Admins email and password and tried it and it still didn’t work. It is saying invalid email or password. I’m not entirely sure if this is the right one but this is what was given to me. Is there any way you can check the billing history/account number to confirm the Admin login information?

The staff will answer in this thread, please make sure you are subscribed to this thread to receive an email when the staff reply. If the staff need to cover private info they will send you an email to the email address of your account and they will still post here for you to check your email

You are not able to access the domain administration for that domain because it was not purchased under the tronsoc10 WordPress.com account. If you were the one who purchased the domain initially, you may have set up a second WordPress.com account at some point. If you were not the one who purchased it initially, you will need to contact whoever made the purchase and ask them to assist you by changing the DNS for you or transferring the upgrade to your account.

Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

I didn’t setup the account and this is all the information I was given for WordPress: Username/email: (email visible only to moderators and staff) Password: [password removed]
    Still doesn’t work.

How would I go about transferring the upgrade to my account if I can get in touch with the person who made the purchase?

The account that owns the upgrade can log into this thread and using small clear words ask the staff to transfer abc upgrade to user / account wxyz – then the staff will do the transfer for you

PS – what ever account / email whatever you posted the password for above – please change it at once – I have flagged this for removal but search engines crawl this forum all the time

Have them follow the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
