No Store Tab on Dashboard

  Hi there,

  I’m looking to possibly upgrade and get VideoPress. When I looked at the upgrading info, it told me I could purchase VideoPress along with other premium content on the Store Tab on my WP dashboard. I’m a administrator by the way (I installed WP myself on our server) and when I checked out my blog dashboard, I don’t see a store tab anywhere.

  I’m currently using version 3.2.1. of WP. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  That “Store” tab only exists on free blogs from and being free hosted by WordPress.com on their servers, and upgrades are only available to those who have free blogs being free hosted by WordPress.com on this multiuser blogging platform.

  As you have the software on your own server that means you have a WordPress.org install. Your blog is not hosted here by WordPress.com and none of the Upgrades are available to you.

  Hi timethief,

  After reading the automated post by supportbot, I started putting two and two together. And your reply confirms this.

  Does that mean that VideoPress is completely unavailable to me?

  Yes, but it’s also unnecessary. You should be able to upload videos directly to your server and put them in the blog. Instructions relating to your site will be found at WordPress.org.
