NO SUBSCRIPTION NEEDED RIGHT?

Hi there,
I would like to buy a .com domain from you which would make my current sub domain from ‘saagarmirza.wordpress.com’ to my own domain name ‘saagarmirza.com’
I can see a few plans/ subscription but would need it at a later time, my own domain is what I fancy at the moment, which I believe is for $18.00 / year right?
So I won’t have to buy a separate plan, correct?Thanks in advance.

Hi saagarmirza,
The option to individually buy domains are no longer available (recent change), you must upgrade to the Premium plan (or Business) in order to do so. It is included with the upgrade!
If you wish to not go down this path, I recommend you go through the self-hosted version of WordPress @ WordPress.org

Thanks very much indeed for the reply, it was helpful.
When, I follow the steps : upgrade> domains> checkout, the total comes to $18 and I get a prompt that I can can also get this for free with premium plan.. So does this mean that I simply cannot just get a domain name? now and upgrade for the plan later?But then again, wouldn’t I have to re-do all my work again on wordpress.org?
To be honest I just need to get the TLD and not the sub-domain unlike at the moment. Just need it to post my blogs and no commercial use so Premium plan is not actually needed.
Could you please confirm again that I cannot just buy a domain ?
If that is a case, I shall leave the blog name as it is for the time being.I appreciate your time Sir.

Hi @saagarmirza, you’re welcome to go ahead and check out with the options you’re being offered.
Also, any work you do here can be transferred to your own copy of WordPress at another host, should you decide you want to go that route.
