No Tags Option In The Classic Editor
-
Hello,
I would like to report that today there is no Tags Option in the WordPress.com Classic Editor, even under Screen Options there is no Tags Option to select, and so you can not add Tags to your Posts in the Classic Editor now.

Thank you,

I don’t have that issue. I have Tags just like I have always had them.
FF 33
Chrome 38
IE11 -
Also my Drafts in the Classic Editor are not showing up when I go to the Dashboard | Posts | All Posts.
I was trying to add my Tags there, but my Draft of my Post is not showing up so I can not even add Tags there. :(

Interesting Timethief I am on Firefox 33 on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS, these problem did not start until I woke up this morning, strange.

Something very strange is going on.
I published the Post on Firefox 33 but it is not showing up under All Posts on Firefox 33 or Chrome 38, and so I can not see today’s published Post or Draft under All Posts in the Dashboard so that I can add Tags since the Tags Option only shows in the New Editor for me today. :(

Okay, things are even more strange/bugged, my Published Post is not showing up on my blog or in the Dashboard under All Posts; but a link to it is showing in my Main Menu on my blog:
https://mediacru.sh/C8eJLh-DCEuF
This is crazy, my guess is that they are testing the new Beta version of the next version of WordPress (which will include the Twenty Fifteen theme), I read about it recently somewhere; and so my guess is that these strange bugs are a result of that.
Either way I need this fixed because I need my Posts and Drafts and Tags to show/work on my blog, and I need my Menu fixed. :D
Thank you,
-John Jr -
My Post magically got converted into a Page it seems, and so that is why it is showing up in my Menu it seems; so I will try to make my Post in the New Editor until this is fixed.

Staff deal with tagged threads and support tickets in chronological order. Every time you post into a thread the timestamp moves forward.
-
I tried to Publish my Post in the New Editor but my Post still will not show up even though it says that it Published, so I can not Publish Posts today it seems until this is fixed so I will wait until the Staff can help me.

Yeah I know Timethief but thanks for reminding me, I just wanted to put everything out there even if it means having it pushed back, that way they will have all the information of what I tried so far. ;)
I rather do that now than later while I am still feeling good enough to troubleshoot this. ;)
Thank you :) ,

I can make Posts and add Tags from the Classic Editor now, but Posts Published from the New Editor are still not showing up/working.

Hi John Jr!
Hope you’re doing well!
The original screenshot you sent was of the Page editor, so it looks like you maybe opened the wrong editor by mistake.
I’m not seeing any missing days in your Posts list, did you recreate the post? Or has it reappeared?
-
Hello Shawna,
That is possible or it switched when I saved my draft because I had saved it as a draft several times before I took that screenshot. :D
I recreated the post again once it started working again.
The Classic Editor started working again for me that day, but the New Editor still is not working.
When I try to create a test post it says that it was published but when I click to view the post it says not found:
https://mediacru.sh/yfj3rpBPI_Iv
My test posts also do not show up under Dashboard | All Posts.
Thank you,
-John Jr -
That’s very strange. Have you cleared your cache and cookies lately? It sounds like somethings getting lost along the way. Maybe one of the cookies or nonces expired but didn’t get cleared out the right way.
-
Oops, I forgot to respond to part of your comment Shawna, I am doing badly good/good badly, thank you; and hopefully you are doing good, the weather is starting to get a bit cold where I am, it feels a bit like winter already. :)
Today I made sure that I was creating a Post and not a Page, in case this happens again, then I will know for sure if that part of my problem was my fault or not. :D ;)

Yes, I use Permanent Private Mode (in my Firefox settings I have History set to Never Remember History, which causes Firefox to use the same settings as Permanent Private Mode), so every time I close my browser things are cleared automatically; and I have had this problem yesterday and today when I tried a test post.
I use the Classic Editor most of the time, but I never had this problem in the New Editor before until yesterday.
I also use Adblock Plus (I have used this for years) with the lists: EasyList, EasyPrivacy, Malware Domains, Adblock Warning Removal List.
The EasyPrivacy List has not caused me any problems with this before but here is a description of that list:
“EasyPrivacy is an optional supplementary subscription that completely removes all forms of tracking from the internet, including web bugs, tracking scripts and information collectors, thereby protecting your personal data.”

Hey John Jr,
It sounds like you’re at least on the good side of the line? It’s getting colder and colder where I am. We’re about to break the record for coldest temperature for tomorrow.
I did some testing with Firefox in Ubuntu with all of the lists you specified enabled in Adblock Plus, and I can’t seem to get the editor to behave the way you’ve described. I’m honestly not sure what’s happening.
My only idea would be restarting your computer if you haven’t lately? I can ask my coworkers to take a look tomorrow morning and see if they have any bright ideas.

Hello Shawna,
Wow! Oddly, today was warmer than the last few days where I am. :D
That is a good idea but I almost always shutdown my computer before I go to sleep so that did not help in my case (I shutdown my computer last night and the night before this problem as usual ;) ), and I tried to make another test post today; and posts published in the New Editor still do not work or show up anywhere.
I am glad that I use the Classic Editor still most of the time and that it still exists or I would not have been able to publish my posts the last few days. ;)
This problem is very strange though, today I tried it in Chrome 39, and it still does not work; and so this problem happens for me in both browsers.

In that Firefox extension list Adguard AdBlocker is there by mistake, I just installed it briefly today to test it, and I forgot to remove it from the list; and so you can ignore that extension because I normally do not have it installed. ;)

Thanks John Jr! I asked Jeremey and Josh to take a look, and we’ve got a few ideas.
First, can you manually clear your cache and cookies, just to be sure?
If that doesn’t do it, could you take screenshots of before and after clicking the ‘Publish’ button in the editor? A video of your process would be even better if you can swing it.
