No text appearing

  Whenever I try to type up a new blog post/page etc., no text appears in the text box on the draft page. It’s weird because I only have this problem on this computer. Another odd thing is that if I highlight over the text box I can see what I typed. Almost as if I’m typing in white. It doesn’t seem to let me click between visual and text editor and the line that usually is in the text box to tell you where you are typing does not appear either. I tried clearing Cache and Cookies but I’m not sure what to do after that. Like I said, this only happens on this computer so I’m concerned it might be my computer. However, I haven’t had this problem with inability to see my typing on any other site. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  Hi there,

  Can you answer a few questions for me to help troubleshoot?

  1. What browser and browser version are you using?

  2. Does this occur in all browsers (i.e. if you download Firefox for example)?

  Let me know! We’ll get to the bottom of this.

  I regularly use chrome. Neither Firefox nor Internet Explorer worked. However, in IE I at least got the line to show in the text box that shows where you’re typing. Still no text appears unless I highlight it.

  Hi,

  That’s very odd. The text is appearing on my side in the editor on your blogs across all browsers (Chrome, Safari, and Firefox). I suspect this is some sort of error (perhaps an encoding error or TinyMCE error) on your device. Can you try restarting it and see if that helps?

  Also, if the problem persists, can you follow these steps?

  1. In Chrome, navigate to an Edit Post screen for a post on your blog where you’re having trouble.
  2. Right-click the screen and click “Inspect Element”. Click “Console” on the bar that opens up.
  3. Reload the page with the console tab open
  4. Take a screenshot of the console (the entire thing) and upload it to your Media Library

  That will help me to troubleshoot moving forward!
