No thumbnail image when link to facebook

I want to write simple blogs and i like cyanotoype or tonal as themes.
However no image comes up on facebook when i post.
On the demo it looks like there are images for tonal but in reality there is only a header image. Or am i doing something wrong?

We have no control over the images that Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.

I’d suggest you add a Blavatar to your site. Facebook should pick that up as a default image if it’s at least 200px by 200px in size, when you have no image in your post.

Thank you so much. You can see from the left that it is possible to include an image for header , but not the individual articles from what i see.

You can definitely upload a featured image for each post if you like. Facebook should then in theory pick up that image when sharing. The Blavatar will be used as a fallback if there’s no featured image.
