No trackback links in most themes

  I’ve noticed that most themes available for us to choose don’t provide a trackback link for posts.. Can this please be added?

  The blog linked to your wordpress.com username is not a wordpress.com blog. We provide support only for bloggers with blogs hosted by wordpress.com in this forum. If you have downloaded software from wordpress.org then note that it is different from what we run on here. The correct support forum in that case is http://wordpress.org/support

  Oh, sorry, I own a WordPress.org blog also but I can change it to my WordPress.com account… how do I change it? :P

  Your wordpress.org blog contents will need to be exported into an xml file and then imported into your wordpress.com blog. The export instructions can be gained from http://wordpress.org/support forum and from the FAQs over there. As you already have a wordpress.org blog, you know that already, right?

  Once you have the wordpress.org contents xml file and have separately exported the links from it into an OPML file then you can find instructions for the import into the wordpress.com blog in our FAQs here. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/09/import-from-blogger-typepad-mt-lj/

  I do not know what you mean by “designate”?

  If you really are a codemonkey then you do know how to post the url to your wordpress.com blog here, right?

  And, you also know how to do this too link you wordpress.com username to your wordpress.com blog

  Summary:
  First, you posted on trackbacks
  Second, you deviated into importing and exporting blogs between wordpress.org and wordpress.com
  Thirdly, you are going on about “designation”.

  Conclusion: I haven’t clue as to what assistance you actually need.

  I’m bowing out thereby allowing more experienced codemonkeys to answer your questions.

  Sorry if I’m being confusing..

  First, I posted about trackbacks in themes. You replied that the blog linked to my wordpress.com username was not a wordpress.com blog.

  I then asked how I could link my wordpress.com account to my wordpress.com blog.. which I now know because of the link you just gave me.

  Then, I tried to clarify my previous post (unsuccessfully :) )

  So I have now linked my wordpress.com blog to this username. Can someone please reply to my original question?
