No tutorial videos are the same as what I am seeing

    Hi!

    I cannot find one tutorial video that has the same screen as me and therefore cannot figure out what I am doing. I am semi-tech saavy so this is kind of frustrating.

    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi @caroline7220 if you are referring to videos you may find in Google and YouTube searches, yes there can be some differences since those are usually focused around using the free and open-source version of the WordPress software. This is the non-hosted version where you need to find a host, manually install the WordPress software, and is usually recommended for more advanced users of the WordPress.

    On WordPress.com we are a fully managed hosting provider, and take care of a lot of things automatically that you would need to do for yourself if you are using the open-source application. Because of this we do sometimes offer a view of our site admin areas that is unique to WordPress.com, and not representative on self-hosted WordPress sites.

    That said, if you can tell us more about what you are trying to set up we’re happy to take a closer look. If you can provide some specifics as @floodmix correctly mentioned, I think it will help. Thanks!
