No users' tab on dashboard.

I am setting up a blog for a class at a university. Currently, I am the sole user/admin on the site. My dashboard does not have a users tab. How can I add other users? Why is the dashboard missing the tab?

I’ve pasted a a direct link to instructions on how to add users below. You will need a WordPress user name or email for each person, then you can send an invitation. You can designate the type of user for each one you add (i.e. admin, follower, contributor, etc.).

There is no “people” option on the site. The only options are stats, blog posts, pages, sharing, and WP admin. Thank you for trying to assist. I’ve had previous class blogs in the past and was able to add students without a problem. This site is a unique problem.
