No view counts but still regularly get people subscribing to site

    Hi,
I’ve noticed that lately my page view counts have been zero, save for a few days. That’d be fine if really no one was visiting my site. However, the fact that nearly every day or two (usually after I post something) I get an email that so-and-so user has subscribed to my post via email. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really happy about that since my post are now directly emailed to them, but the fact that my view count on the stats page is zero on most of those days is a little off-putting. Is there some way that people can subscribe to my blog via email without actually visiting my blog? Why would they? Is the stats view count even reliable?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi georgedac,

It could likely be that people are reading your blog from the WordPress.com Reader. They are able to follow or like your blog right from there without actually visiting your site.

    See http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/

Why is the number of views less than the number of likes?
Readers may like your post without visiting your site, for example on the Reader. Since they didn’t actually visit your site, liking a post in this way does not count as a visit.

There are other notes on that page worth reading about the stats as well. For instance anyone listed as an admin on your blog will not count as a visitor.

    Hope that helps.
