No views on my blog

    I’m not getting any views on my blog today and no response from WordPress support when I try to reach them. Can anyone help?

    Hi there!

    I don’t see any other emails or support requests other than this forum post. The last contact you had with us was about four months ago regarding deleting old blogs from the blogroll. Could you tell us which channel/medium did you try to contact us through when you got no response?

    As for the views, I checked your site and didn’t see any technical issues, so there’s nothing technically wrong with your site that’s causing a lack of views. It’s all about marketing your posts to get more viewers.

    You can look at the monthly views on your stats page to see where you get your visitors from. I see that the majority of them came from Facebook. I’m guessing you share your posts on Facebook from your profile or a page dedicated to the blog.

    You can start sharing more posts — and maybe on other social networking sites as well — and consider connecting with other people using the WordPress.com Reader. You can also start optimizing your posts for search engines like Google. This is called SEO, and optimizing your content can help you get organic visitors from various search engines. This can be your biggest source of traffic.

    If you look through your post titles, you’ll see that many of those are not something people would search for on Google, so there’s no reason they would find it unless you share it with them via social media. That’s why using social media and the WordPress.com Reader to engage with readers is the best thing you can do now to get more views.

    Of course, there’s a delicate balance between writing about things that people are searching for and what you want to write about. But this is a trade-off, so I suggest doing a bit of both to get some organic visitors from search engines.
