no visual editor when making a new post

  For some reason when I went to make a post today there was no visual editor. Meaning I went to put a picture in my post and it came up with <img src=”www.urlhere.jpg” alt=”” /> instead of showing the picture. (I know I have to put the url in im just showing what it comes up a.)

  also if I try to make my text bold it shows up like this: text text instead of showing the text as bold.

  also when I go to make a new post there is no visual or code tab under the title. Can someone please help me?

  FAQ on the subject. It may have also been turned off for some reason. Go to Dashboard -> Users -> Your profile and make sure that checkbox for the editor is marked.

  I went to my profile but I dont see a checkbox for the editor.
