No Way For Visitors to Post a Blog

When my visitors visit my blog at http://www.bestaptsdfw.wordpress.com , they can read the first comment that I posted, but there is no way for them to post their own blog!!!! There is no button at the top that says “new post”, nor is there any button anywhere else that would allow them to post something. I do not want them to comment on MY post. I want them to be able to post their own. When I log into my account, then the buttons appear at the top of the page “New Post”. But visitors cannot see any of those buttons. So what is happening? What advantage is a blog where no one can blog anything? :(

Note: be very careful about the user roles you assign people. Do not make anyone else an admin unless you know them as this will give them control of everything in your blog.

I don’t want to ad them as an admin. I just want anyone who finds my blog on the internet to be able to post something. Is that not possible? I thought that was the entire purpose of having a blog. I am using this blog as a way for people to rate the apartment complex where they live. I am an apartment locator, and I wanted to add this blog to my website so that anyone who goes to my website can post a review about their apartment community and rate it. Do you really HAVE to be an admin to be able to post a comment??

If you just want people to be able to comment, they do not need to be users/authors on your blog. If you want them to write a post on your blog, they will need to be a user.

Hey guys, i think its better to have an option for the visitors to post which can be directly emailed to the blog owner for moderation, if he finds it suitable he can post the review in his blog. Is there any such features available in wordpress?

Why not just set up a forum on one of the free online forum sites? What is being suggested really isn’t what blogs are or were meant to be.

If you want anyone to be able to post to your site, what you want is a WIKI, not a blog. There are lots of free wiki options.
