No way to get my blog to use blocks or go in admin mode
-
I have a blog that I created in 2019 which I see was hosted under the wordpress home.blog domain… It is hosted on WordPress, it is NOT self-hosted! I have a few questions:
1. How can I switch it to doityourselfnow.wordpress.com instead of doityourself.home.blog ?
2. It is still using the Classic editor but it offers no possibility to use the new Block editor
3. It never shows the Admin panel so it is impossible to make changes to the blog settings, why? I am the only user in that blog and I created it myself back in 2019.

hi there,
1. How can I switch it to doityourselfnow.wordpress.com instead of doityourself.home.blog ?
You can change its address to a .wordpress.com one by following these instructions:
https://wordpress.com/support/changing-site-address/
However, you won’t be able to choose doityourselfnow.wordpress.com as that’s already registered by another WordPress.com user.
2. It is still using the Classic editor but it offers no possibility to use the new Block editor
I opened a few of your latest posts and they all use the Block editor.
3. It never shows the Admin panel so it is impossible to make changes to the blog settings, why?
What admin panel are you referring to? If you mean the WP Admin dashboard, then revert back to that by following these instructions:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-settings/#dashboard-appearance
