No way to make first post, only second post

  Hello. i started a WordPress site to try to help others with my medical condition, but there seems no way to post on or edit my first page. My first page is currently a generic/blank and there seems no way to change it. It says on the page to click on “edit” but there is no edit button. All I could do was make a second entry. Any way to make my second entry so that it shows up on the first page? Thank you everyone!
