no widget side bar with Twenty Eleven theme

  The widget side bar only appears on the home page. How do I get the side bar on all pages?

  I use the Twenty Eleven theme

  You don’t. Only the older themes display sidebars on every page in the blog. The Twenty Eleven theme is not designed to display a sidebar on single post pages.
