  Today my blog (http://sewmaris.com) appears totally broken – and as far as I know I have only added new posts.

  Navigation bar size/font is wrong
  Home page missing 3/4 of the content
  “No widgets!” msg across my site

  style sheet missing? something was updated inadvertently?

  That is not a WordPress.com blog but a WordPress.ORG one. We can’t help you with that version of the software, and you need to be at their forums.
