No WordPress.com blog or external site feed found at the supplied URL

  I’m attempting to add an externally hosted blog http://www.civilbeat.com to My Blogs to be able to see it in the WordPress Reader and getting the error:

  No WordPress.com blog or external site feed found at the supplied URL
  (see error here: http://i.stack.imgur.com/l4wKU.png)

  No WordPress.com blog or external site feed found at the supplied URL
  Does this require additional configuration on the blog to be able to see posts there? It looks like the feed is working as expected at http://www.civilbeat.com/feed/

  Hi!

  You can add non-WordPress.com blogs into your reader by adding the following URL: http://www.civilbeat.com/feed/ . I was able get the site to display in my WordPress.com reader with that URL. Try adding that URL to your reader.

  Hey thanks so much for checking this out for me. I’m able to get that working with Blogs I Follow, but the error is persisting when I attempt to add the blog to the list “My Blogs”. Any idea why it works for Blogs I Follow but not in Lists?

  Please be aware that the My Blogs section of your WordPress.COM Dashboard lists the WordPress.COM blogs that you can contribute to and/or edit. https://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/

  That’s not where you enter blogs that you follow at all. You do that here https://wordpress.com/following/edit/

  Please also read this support doc https://en.support.wordpress.com/following/
