NO WORKING DELIVERY

    I paid for a blog account with WordPress on 24 January. I advised that the email address was correct. I even received a (no-reply) email welcoming me – but I cannot access the new blog site. So NO WORKING DELIVERY, despite payment

    I have tried everything I can think of to contact you. I have tried to use one of your forms – quoting my email address and the PayPal transaction number. You apparently don’t recognise either.

    I also tried contacting them through another(working) WordPress blog site , but with no luck

    Can you help in any way please?

    I see the following blogs under your smartamarketing account:
    smartamarketing.wordpress.com
    smartamarketing2.wordpress.com
    maanznewsletter.wordpress.com
    smartmarketing2.wordpress.com
    doingbusinessinasianetwork.wordpress.com

    None of these blogs appear to have an upgrade purchased for it, nor do I see any upgrade purchases under your smartamarketing account. Could you have used a different account, or is this upgrade for a different blog?

    Please post the address of the blog you created and for which you should have an upgrade, and I would be happy to investigate this further.

    Ah, I see the issue. You created a new site, maanzinternationalmembers.wordpress.com, under a new WordPress.com username. You will not be able to access it from your smartamarketing user account unless you make that account a user on the new blog.

    You can log out of smartamarketing and log in under your new username to access your blog’s Dashboard. If you can’t remember your new username, you can use the email address you entered to create the new account.

    jackiedana, I could not log in here with the new name – maanzinternationalmembers.wordpress.com* because WP does not seem to acknowledge it. So I came here under the aegis of the smartamarketing name – which it does.

    * BTW If I had known how, I would have preferred to pay the fee and used the exisiting maanznewsletter.wordpress.com

    I have tried both my new name and my email address. Didn’t work

    I am also happy to provide the Paypal transaction number if this communication is secure.

    What might work best for you, then, would be to move your new site and upgrade to your existing account. However, before we can do that, we will need to verify that you own that site.

    Please go to our password reset tool and see if you can regain access using your other username (not the blog name, which is different) or the email address you recently used to sign up again. If you cannot regain access to that account on your own, click on the “Need more help?” link and you will get a contact form that will allow you to reach our account recovery team (we cannot do recovery via the public support forums). Once you have successfully regained access to that account, post in this thread from that account and I can help migrate your blog and upgrade to your smartamarketing account if you wish.

    I have tried this before, but I have just tried again using that link.

    I have tried everything and will provide any information you need to verify that I own that site Including the Paypal transaction and date – to get this fixed.

    Can you not simply ask someone in your organisation to contact me to get this fixed please jackiedana? Engineer a little happiness please.

    What happened after I put the email address I used to create the new blog account was that my other log in (smartamarketing) popped up and asked me to put in my password. OK I did – but that is not the account involved.

    I am awaiting the response from the change password I put in as you suggested.

    So, I reset the password (using my smartphone). Then I tried to log in – using my computer. I received the foloowing message:

    “The username or email maanzinternationalmembers.wordpress.com does not exist here on WordPress.org”

    But I can access it via my smartphone, I just tried.

    Can you explain that please?

    I’m so sorry you keep running into trouble with this.

    First of all, “maanzinternationalmembers.wordpress.com” is your website address. It is not a username or an email address, and therefore cannot be used in the password reset tool.

    The tool thinks you are trying to regain access to the site that is recognized in your browser, so it continues to try to reset that account.

    Please try going directly to https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and in the form, include your maanzinternationalmembers.wordpress.com website as well as anything you might have used for your username or email address for that account, so our account recovery team can assist you with this.

    Now I had to log in here before I could reply to this! “You must log in to post” Thats new – and not helpful.

    I have actually tried to use that recovery link previously and provided all the information I have. OK I will give it a go.

    I paid for this blog back on January 24 and have had nothing but trouble ever since! Maybe I should try and get PayPal to stop payment and try again?

    We could not find an account that matches your login. Please check your spelling. Note that we can only provide support for WordPress.com accounts – do not use this page for your own WordPress.org blog.

    This is what I provided on that form:

    Do you have an API key? – I put in the number which appeared after the Confirm Email Address – https://signup.wordpress.com/activate/

    Please enter a receipt or transaction ID: I put in my Paypal transaction number

    Do you have an activation URL or key? – I put in the Email Address – https://signup.wordpress.com/activate/plus the code that followed that address

    Do you have two factor authentication codes? – no I never got that far

    This is about the third time I have tried to use this form. Hope it works this time!
    I signed up for this blog on January 24 using paypal. I confirmed the email address. I have a Paypal receipt. I received a confirmation email. I can log in to it using my mobile phone but not my computer. I have been trying to get help via one of your Happiness engineers.

    Awesome, you were able to sort it out! :)

    Are you now able to see your upgrade and access your blog under your brianrmonger account?

    If you wish, you can add smartamarketing as an administrator on your blog. From there, I can transfer the blog ownership and upgrade to the smartamarketing user account if you desire.

    Please let me know what would be easiest for you.
