No ‘Your comment is awaiting moderation’ message in Firefox
-
I noticed that for quite some time, after submitting a comment the “Your comment is awaiting moderation” expanding message doesn’t appear so it’s not clear to the commenter what the heck happened to his comment. I tried the same thing in IE and it works fine, so it seems to be a visual bug when using Firefox. The comment does show up in Awaiting Moderation list in admin section, so there’s nothing wrong there. Any suggestions? Have I discovered a bug?

I hate to break it to you, but I’m using FF3 and usually get the “Your comment is awaiting moderation” whenever I comment on comment-moderated blogs, so I doubt that you have discovered a bug.

I’m using 2.0.0.16 and the moderation notice came up just fine on the 3 blogs I commented on so far today, so I don’t think it’s a browser issue.

Same here I’m using FF3 and I get ‘your comment is awaiting moderation’ whenever
I comment on a moderated blog… So maybe you should re download your firefox, -
I’m using FF3 and saw the “awaiting moderation” just an hour ago.
Seems there’s something else amiss for you.

Now I just encountered the problem on the last blog I commented on
I left 2 other comments earlier today & I didn’t have this issue but
when I revisited the site to leave a follow up reply I had no meassage
alerting me if my comment went through or even in moderation… -
Have you checked with the blog owner to see if the comment went to the spam bin? Any chance Akismet is being overly sensitive today?
-
There was a recent upgrade to Akismet for self-hosted blogs, and ever time that happens, there ends up being a bunch of new people getting caught. I would definitely ask the bloggers to check the spam filters.
