non-commercial "dedicated" private-allocation storage drive

May I ask and suggest a service for us non-commercial users?

We are boycotting Google (youtube/blogspot/etc), Yahoo, Microsoft, Verizon and their corporate alliance to spy and sell private/personal info and thus violate individual’s rights. If WordPress is doing this then please stop the practice.
Back to my main reason for contacting WordPress is to meet my need to upload my content (text/audio/video/photo) affordably.
I can see that the price plans offered quickly exceeds the cost of me buying a TB hard-drive storage.

Please Consider offering a service plan that allows us to purchase the larger storage (a dedicated harddrive that can be delivered to your customer upon account cancellation).
I would like to keep the archives of my work for future use if I desire.
Example: I buy a 1 TB (1,000 GB) storage drive where I upload all my files to. Your server maintains and shares it from your internet hosting server. 3 years later, I decide to cancel my account and you deliver my storage drive to me.

If the above is not feasible then perhaps you can suggest an alternative?
Do you have (Or will you make) a video-tutorial on hosting on WordPress?
A video-tutorial on options, perhaps I need to Host from a home server?

    Thank you for being here!

    For the video: http://learn.wordpress.com/

the cost and logistics of a single dedicated drive would be expensive and that is a single point of failure – for data safety best to have it stored in more than one location and redundant drives – as soon as they sent you the single drive you would be open to a single point of failure and what if the shipper lost or dropped your drive?

For you – maybe a couple of drives or three – build a batch file to automate the backup – then it gets done more often – then keep the drives in different places unless they are being updated – maybe one in a lock box at your desk at work, a friends house etc.
