Some theme have a built in “Home” tab that’s not an actual page. You can create a custom menu and create your own Home page. You can include exactly what you want in a custom menu.

The default main page of a wordpress site is the posts page which will show all published posts in reverse chronological order (newest at top). If you do not have any published posts, then nothing will show up. You have no published posts and you have deleted the “hello world” placeholder post that was there when you signed up.
Create and publish some posts (posts > add new in your dashboard) and they will show up on the main page.
You cannot “edit” the home page as such as that page does not exist until a browser calls for it. The wordpress and theme software create the main page dynamically on the fly as it is called for.
