Non-profit website abandoned

  Our amateur radio club had/has a website on WordPress. The person who set this it up left the club in 2016. We don’t have any information about how to get in. Can you tell us how to either recover the website or delete it?

  If you have any way to reach the person who set up the site they can transfer ownership to an active member. They just need to post here from their account associated with the site and we can help them do that. Share this forum link for them.

  Another option is the account recovery form: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

  But it sounds like y’all don’t have any proof of ownership and are going to need help from the previous owner.

  We can’t locate the previous person. We have no proof on the prior account. We could get a notarized statement of who is the current organization’s president. At a bare minimum how to shut it down. People seeking the club land on this 4 year old site with bad information. Surely this happens occasionally?

  I don’t have more information than given already. Just to repeat I think you can see no one has touched that website for years. It would great if we get reclaim it but if not then how to remove.

  Hi,
  I have been referred to you in an attempt to recover or destroy a website that was created for our non-profit years ago. The website in question is:
  PMVARC.wordpress.com.
  The group is “Pacific Meramac Valley Amateur Radio Club”. The person who set up the website has disappeared so we are stuck. As you can see the information is 4 years old so we either need to fix it or create a new one. Can you advise?
