    Hello!

    This forum supports sites hosted on WordPress.com. WordPress.com does not offer a nonprofit discount, but there is a free plan that is a worthy alternative to the free plans at Wix, Weebly, etc..

    With all these free plans, the features are limited. You may not go far before you want or need more. With a nonprofit, that might come up with taking donations, listing events, eCommerce functions, or even with branding.

    It helps a lot to know your present requirements and to be able to anticipate other near term requirements. Of the free options, I like WordPress the best because it offers a path to do more as your needs grow without completely changing the underlying website technology.

    On the paid side, the largest trap you can fall into is buying on price. As someone who has been building and managing nonprofit websites for 20+ years, I will suggest that you will be sorry soon and often for buying on low price alone.

    Considering the paid plans on WordPress.com, consider the $48/year personal plan or the $98/year Premium plan. Either of these removes the third party advertising that comes with the free plan.

    The Premium plan includes something called Simple Payments which makes it easier to accept donations if you don’t have a tech savvy resource to implement an online donation function for your site.

    There are also options worth considering beyond those hosted with WordPress.com, though this is the wrong forum to elaborate on the alternatives.
