Non Responsive Sidebar Slideshows

  An update to my Gateway theme last week has left my sidebar slideshows unlinked…. they no longer open up in a new window for viewing when clicked on.

  Hi there – your sidebar slideshows are widgets, and not something specific to Gateway, so I don’t think this is theme-related.

  I don’t recall slideshow gallery widgets ever being clickable – i.e. opening up a new window. I looked at your site in the Wayback Machine archive, and I don’t see anything clickable in your slideshows there, either. Here’s what your site looked like back in October 2017, for example:

  When you say that there was an update to Gateway last week, could you expand on what you mean by that a little bit? What specifically was updated? I don’t see any updates to Gateway in the last six months, so if you tell me more about what you experienced it might provide some clues. Thanks!

  I’m not sure what was updated? I know this isn’t going to be very helpful, but I remember going into my dashboard to look at or add a plugin and there was an update for the “gateway” theme. It stands out in my mind only because I was concerned about what it would do to the site. . .

  Previously, I could click on the mini slideshows in the right sidebar and another internet window would open with just that slideshow (a bigger version) – I could click through the pictures with the arrows to each side of the slideshow, or pause it, but it was nice b/c the pictures were so much bigger.

  Thanks for the info, Pipi. I’m a bit puzzled, since you shouldn’t have been prompted to update the theme, nor can I recall those gallery slideshows ever being clickable – the archived copy of your site that I linked to earlier seems to agree with me. I consulted a colleague, and they also don’t recall those slideshows ever being clickable.
