non-subcribers and how to read a blog which someone posts the link to..
-
Non-subcribers, can they read a blog which someone post if they don’t wish to give their email address?
-
Non-subscribers, in fact, everyone can read a blog if it’s public. If it’s private, users have to be specifically invited.
In the scenario where a blog is public, and some non-subscribers want your blog updates but don’t want to give their email address, there are two options.
- They can subscribe to your blog’s RSS feed. If on Chrome, they can install an RSS reader extension, which can notify them of new content. Desktop-based RSS readers/aggregators are also available.
- People with a WordPress.com account who are logged-in can follow your blog and receive updates (in Reader and via email) without giving away their email address.
If signing up for a WordPress.com account isn’t possible for them, RSS is the way to go.
