non-US libel laws

  Some countries have repressive libel laws, as some of you have recently read news about English and South Korean libel laws being used to silence criticism. Does some non-US courts have power to take down a blog in wordpress.com if the blogger is a citizen of the country whose court is requesting the take down?

  We would need a very good reason to close a blog in such circumstances.

  I’ve seen them resist these kinds of calls in the past, if it helps. They defied every authority in Turkey, for instance. Same in Pakistan.
