Non-Widget Advertising

  Hi all. My website is based around an e-mail subscription list. Am I allowed to incorporate sponsorships (text ads) within my posts/emails to subscribers? In this vein,am I allowed to put a sponsored link on my site to a related service? Since I work with scholarships I would be marketing colleges or test prep.

  I have no interest in using specific widgets or google adsense or anything like that.

  Advertising is, except for a couple very narrow exceptions, not allowed at wordpress.COM. For the exceptions, see the last sentence under “Affiliate marketing blogs” in the bottom set of bullet points in the “types of blogs” link below.
