non-wordpress users

  I have friends who would like to “like” my posts but wordpress is asking them to sign in. They don’t want to have a wordpress account. Is there a way for them to like the posts without having a wordpress account?(They were able to reply to posts but not “like” posts.)

  If a visitor without an account here wants to like your post, all they have to do is to put in their email address. They do not have to sign up for a blog or an account at WordPress.com. The reason WordPress asks for the email address, or to log in to WordPress (if the visitor has an account) is that WordPress will show the gravatars (if the visitor has one) of the people who like your post, at the bottom of the post.
