Non-WordPress users can’t comment

Hi. I’m utilizing your platform for a class, and in order to receive credit for the assignment, I need proof of others engaging with my posts via comments. Both my peers and my professor have notified me of their inability to comment without signing into an existing or new WordPress account, or their Gmail, which violates the assignment guidelines.
Other peers who are also using WordPress are not confronting this issue. I have already adjusted my settings so that no commenters are required to log into the platform nor receive my approval to comment. I also redid the post entirely after having adjusted my settings, but confronted the same issue on that post, leading me to believe that this is not user error, but rather, a software glitch. Can anything be done on IT’s side to resolve this problem?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there, I noticed comments on your post here: https://somethingnotsoserious.wordpress.com/2023/01/28/journal-1-technologys-presence-in-the-classroom/

And I can confirm your site is public on the internet when I check your site settings as well. Were you able to sort this out on your own, or did you need a hand still?
