Nonexistant Post
-
I have an old blog post (posted in Feb) that is there, it exists, I can edit, update, view it on the blog list, in categories, see the blog listed on the second page (press previous page once), etc. But upon clicking on it itself, or to comment, it states that the post is nonexistant. I’m not really sure what the issue is, but I did repost it to see if it’s the content messing it up, but it worked just fine in the repost. All of my other posts work perfectly, just this one does not.

Link to page it is on: http://nihongonoressontokami.wordpress.com/page/2/
Link to repost: http://nihongonoressontokami.wordpress.com/2011/04/14/test-post/Any help is greatly appreciated!

You said you edited the post and resaved it? If so, I don’t really have any suggestion other than to contact Support directly. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

First time I’m seeing this!
If you click the February archive, you’ll see the post listed there but dated March 1, and the heading of the archive is “Archive for March”. You confused the system because you gave that post a nonexistent Feb 29 date:

So just edit the post and correct the date. -
Still wouldn’t explain:
A.) how it was saved with a date of February 29 to begin with
B.) why the database is recognizing it as March 1 everywhere else.So I still suggest contacting Support to have it on record.

Just to let you know how I ended up fixing it (support had yet to respond for a while so I tried it myself again). I clicked on ‘Quick Edit’ and changed nothing then pressed ‘Update’. The date in the ‘Quick Edit’ was the correct date and my theory was that updating that might reset it back to the actual date and not February 29th, and it worked.
I still don’t know how it ended up being posted on February 29th, however.

Interesting catch and thanks for reporting this @nihongonoressontokami. Some excellent observations all around here in this thread.
I’m unable to reproduce the circumstances that allowed this in the first place so far, but it has been noted for further investigation.

I thought I tried that but my silly mistake had been trusting the UI (if you click OK on the datastamp the UI stops you).
Ignore that and go straight to Update and it saves right out…nicely done. Thank you.
