    It appears that you’re using the open source WordPress.ORG software hosted at another hosting company. Please keep in mind, these forums here at WordPress.COM are for WordPress websites hosted and managed at WordPress.COM

    In other words, if you visit Dashboard.WordPress.COM and the site in question is not listed, then the support does not belong here.

    Hi there,

    We already helped you restore this domain yesterday in https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/domain-registration-262/, and it’s loading your site properly for me. It’s definitely no longer in redemption, and if you’re still seeing that in Whois, you’re looking at cached Whois data that doesn’t reflect the current status of the domain.

    If you still have any issues with the domain, please comment on that other thread and we can continue helping there.

    Thanks for trying to help, but a couple things:

    The OP is asking for help renewing a domain, not for help with the open source WordPress software, so the WordPress.org forums won’t be able to help them here. The only people who can help them is their domain registrar, and if you do a Whois lookup of the domain you’ll see the following:

    Registrar: Wild West Domains, LLC
...
Reseller: WordPress.com

    So we’re their domain registrar, and this forum is the correct place to help them with this.

    Second, if you visit the site, it says “Powered by Squarespace” in the footer, so they’re not using WordPress at all. The domain is registered with us at WordPress.com, but it’s pointed to a site hosted at Squarespace.com, which is not just a different hosting provider, but a completely different platform to WordPress, with their own proprietary website building software.

    So even if this wasn’t a domain issue, the WordPress.org forums still wouldn’t be the right place to send them in this case :)
