Norton safeweb and wordpress.com

    This topic appears to have been batted around on and off for a number of years.

    If I understand it correctly the only way that I can get Norton to give any of my wordpress.com websites a “green tick” when searches are done is to put their verification mega tag info in plain sight on my home pages and ask them politely if they would be so kind as to manually verify them and then give me the magic green tick.

    Is there any official correspondence from either Norton or WordPress.com on this subject? Is any effective solution likely?

    Note that I have looked at the relevant Norton safeweb pages and wordpress.org methods are not relevant to me.
