Not A Single Theme on WordPress.com Has…
-
why not be able to have an RSS link right on your blog?
Many, many themes have them built-in, if you care to look for them. If not, as tsp pointed out, you can easily add one.
If you think the 66 themes here are *SO* minimal, compare them with what’s available at other FREE services, such as Blogger and Tumblr.
Of course, wordpress.org offers probably more than 1,000 themes, and some have RSS buttons that are about 1 1/2″ tall.

I think more themes is always a good thing no mater what angle you look at it. Now 66 does sound like a lot but as you pointed out: 1000 is a lot bigger than 66 :p. (Of course we are looking at a free service vs a paid service but stil ;) )
Cheers!

Then I guess you have your solution.
Do come back and let us know how Blogger works out for you, especially when you need support. I won’t bore you with how unconcerned Blogger was when one of their users stole many entire posts of my copyrighted (no Creative Commons) content.
Did someone say merlot?

If it’s any consolation, ALL the blog catalogues I’ve seen have picked up on my tagline, even though it has never been visible on my blog. And all you have to do to add a tagline to a customizable header is copy the header image you already have, open in Paint, add text, save, and upload that. Is easy.

yes, I can see it. I don’t understand how you made it invisible in your header using paint. (I don’t use paint much)

“From the Downtown EastSide of Vancouver and the dark side of the loon.”
I found it at Blog Catalog, and when I googled it, the results showed the same line used all over, all referring to you.

That’s NOT the WP.com blog tagline, though. That’s the one I put at BlogCatalogue (also Technorati). I really should synch them up. If you put nothing in there, it will still detect your WP.com tagline, even if it’s not displayed.
Seriously, am I the only one who can see it using Google? I’m speshul I guess.
-
I screen capped what I get when I google “raincoaster”
Click this to see what I got. I guess I’m not as speshul as you. ;-)

You know, that is really interesting. I’m now seeing exactly the same as you.
Because as recently as three months ago, it worked. They must have stopped looking at the code when they re-jiggered Google.
