I tried to use your help to set up a website on this up but I was not successful in understanding your directions.
At this point I went a Udemy class website and that got to set it up, but and now I have two open website one on yours and one through a different website provider. Either way what do I need to do now?
What does that error mean? Or how do I roll over everything I have done from the other hosting site?

Hi there,
Which site are you seeing the JSON error on? To clarify, we are not the only providers of WordPress sites, and outside web hosting companies also happen to offer WordPress sites, but they use a different version of the platform than what we use here. Specifically the use the free open-source version of the software that is favored by web designers, developers, and advanced users. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ for more info.
In this case, the Udemy class likely refers to that open-source version of WordPress, since that is the platform that is most common for custom development, and likely guided you to set up that kind of site with a traditional hosting provider.
I tried to use your help to set up a website on this up but I was not successful in understanding your directions.
What kind of site are you trying to set up? A site for your business or a personal blog? Or are you trying to set up a site you can use to learn more about coding and developing in WordPress?
As far as next steps, you can either migrate your content here to the new site you set up there, or you can close that site down and just continue with what you have here. I think it will help to know what your goals are in setting up your site and from there we can suggest which option might be better for you.
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

Why do you reply to an email asking questions but then make it so that I can’t just reply?
Here are the answers to the last questions I was asked:
I am trying to set up a blog Site. As far as personal or business I’m not sure yet, I’m thinking it’s going to be something like a nonprofit freedom of speech discussion board.

@shadskeet541 – This is the forums on WordPress.com. We’re not sending you emails – you’re getting a new comment notification that someone had replied to your thread. To respond, you need to go to your post on the forums to comment:https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/not-a-valid-json-response-3/
Going to your WordPress.com account just opens up a new thread instead of replying to your original request. I’ve merged your latest reply into the above URL for discussion.
Thanks for those responses! We do need to know this as well:
Or are you trying to set up a site you can use to learn more about coding and developing in WordPress?
As far as hosting your site here at WordPress.com, you’re limited to what you can do based on your plan level – you can read more about our plans here:
