Not able to access Payment section/was charged 102 Euros mistakenly!!

    Hello, I was charged 102 Euros today via my account. When I try to open my site to the settings, nothing is showing up. I am not able to manage payments at all. Please return me my money immediately.

    Hello WordPress,

    I was unfairly charged 102$ today supposedly according to a plan. What is unfair is that since a long time I have not been able to access my site properly including the “Manage Payments” section. Everytime I click it, it doesnt load properly. How can you justify taking away money when i didnt even have the chance to cancel the subscription before?

    Please refund me my money ASAP or I would need to talk to a lawyer that I know.

    I can even show screenshots of proof that my site hasnt been working. I have already issued a report with PayPal. Please resolve. This is unacceptable.

  • Hey there, it looks like you disputed the payment before trying to get a refund. A dispute locks everything up, and not even support can refund then, but if you’ll contact your bank to cancel that we can likely help.

    It looks like you have the Personal Plan renewing every two years, and that’s what the charge was about. We can undo it if you don’t want it anymore, as soon as the dispute is properly closed out.

    Please respond here when the dispute is closed, so we can work on a refund for you.

    Thanks for your message. PayPal has closed the dispute saying that they cannot refund me the money and I should contact you directly.

    Please understand that I have not been able to access my “Manage Payment” section because it doesnt load. I am unable to attach anything to this message hence not able to show you but I have proof. I was not able to do ANYTHING to my account so I find it super unfair that I was unable to close these subscriptions before the payment was withdrawn.

    Is there any way you can send me an email at (email visible only to moderators and staff) or even (email visible only to moderators and staff) and I will happily send you the screenshots. Please refund me 102$. It honestly is a lot of money for something that has not been used/was not working for me for a long time. I was honestly not able to cancel my subscription otherwise I would have. I even clicked on the contact button many times but it didnt load properly. I tried on all servers as well.

    Please help me. This really feels very unfair.

  • The dispute still shows as pending on our end. We’ll only be able to refund it once PayPal notifies us directly that they have closed the dispute, and this can sometimes take several weeks.

    It looks like you already have a support ticket open with our billing support team as well, so please follow up there if you have any further questions about this, as they’re the ones who will be processing your refund once PayPal updates the dispute status with us.

    As for the Purchases page not loading, please try clearing your browser cache, and if you’re using any browser add-ons, disable those.

    If the page still won’t load, please check if it loads when you log in using an incognito browser session or a different browser.
