Not able to add images to a post, help please!

  I am an author on a blog and when I go to add photos, there are no “add media” buttons unless I toggle full screen mode, and then when I press a button to add an image (or any other media button) nothing happens. I have no idea how to add media to my media library as I don’t know where it is. My options when creating a post look different than those I have seen on the screenshot help videos; is it possible I don’t have access to as many options as the person who created the blog? What am I doing wrong? (I’m totally new to this)

  Authors have the ability to upload images, but contributors do not, so it sounds like you are set as a contributor rather than an author. Check with the blog owner.

  Thank! that might just be the problem, contacted the blog owner and she is looking into it.
